The Costa Blanca North likes to party, they don’t just celebrate the Alicante Fiestas but also celebrate the fiestas of their neighbouring towns in Valencia. You can enjoy the spectacular Moors and Christian parades between the months of April and September, and the amazing Fallas during March.
Kilometres of beautiful beaches offer fantastic diving opportunities, and for those who like serious walking; there are some magnificent mountain treks that will give you unforgettable views of the Costa Blanca. If you time your trek right, you will experience the orange, almond and olive groves, painting the valleys in white and pink blossom.
All towns in the Costa Blanca North offer their own gastronomic delicacies which will have you coming back for more. Denia was even designated a city of gastronomy in 2015. You can try the famous Denia red prawn, seafood paella and grilled vegetables from any 1 of Denias 300 restaurants. If chocolate is your passion, then Villajoyosa is the town for you. Here you will find the famous Valor Chocolate Factory and Museum.
For history lovers, there are castles and medieval towns which will transport you back in time. Visit Guadalest for a beautiful castle set up high in the mountains, or caves with their prehistoric paintings or fantastic rock formations such as the Cueva de Rull in the Vall d’Ebo.
If shopping is your thing, then there are Flea Markets and Markets offering local produce in every town once a week. Too hot for an outside market! Then head to a shopping mall such as Portal La Marina in Ondara or La Marina in Finestrat where you will find well known shops and coffee bars in a pleasant, air conditioned environment.
